Nancy O'Dell's career in broadcasting began as an anchor and journalist for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She later worked as morning news anchor and the crime reporter at WCBD TV. Her reporting on the streets of Charleston about the police's leniency toward DUI cases has led to an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the DUI incidents. Ms. O'Dell won the Best Report of the Media Award in South Carolina by the Associated Press. After her time at Charleston, O'Dell worked as anchor for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and also as an investigative reporter. She then joined Access Hollywood to work as a weekday and weekend correspondent. O'Dell is the anchor of choice for Access Hollywood. In addition she has contributed in NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She has reported on events like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards in addition to hosting the Pre ShowArrivals shows at The Emmys. She hosted both the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
